Swati Dalal - Managing Director

Swati is an experienced leader in Abbott. She joined Abbott in 1995 as a Product Manager in Abbott India Limited (AIL). Over the next 10 years she took on various roles of increasing responsibilities within the marketing and sales function of the Neurosciences division and was then promoted as Head for the Specialty Care business.

Swati then took several roles spanning New Product Introduction (NPI) and Life Cycle Management for AIL, and Director Commercial Operations and Commercial Director in Primary Care with Established Pharmaceutical Division’s (EPD) Healthcare Solutions business.

In April 2020, she was promoted as General Manager for Abbott’s India Nutrition business. During Swati’s time with Nutrition, the business achieved a growth of 15.4% CAGR, which includes the unprecedented pandemic times.

Swati was then appointed as General Manager for EPD’s Primary Care business in May 2023. Over the last one year, Swati has ably led the business to deliver market beating growth. She has been instrumental in reshaping the primary care portfolio to drive growth in core therapies and traded generics for long term success.

Swati is an active member of the DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion) Council of Abbott in India and a founder member of the “Women Leaders of Abbott” India Chapter and Business Advisory Council (BAC) sponsor of the Early Careers Network in India.

Swati holds a pharmacy degree from P.K.M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Mumbai and a post-graduate degree in Management Studies from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai.

Sridhar Kadangode – Chief Financial Officer

Mr Sridhar Kadangode has overall 25 years’ of diversified experience in Finance function and in his last role was the Director - Finance of Abbott India Limited, managing Finance, Demand Planning and Business Compliance function. During his tenure, he has led a strong financial performance through the pandemic, both in topline and bottom line with continued focus on future growth. He has also redesigned the 5-year strategic financial plan for Abbott India Limited.

Prior to this role in Abbott India Limited, Sridhar has worked with the Nutrition business of Abbott Healthcare Private Limited. He was part of the Core Management Team which evolved the Path to Profitability for the Nutrition business for South Asia and improved bottom line significantly during the stint. He has led some of the key business projects linked to Business response during Demonetization, Distributor Optimization and Cost Leadership Initiatives.

Sridhar started his professional journey with Britannia Industries and then moved to Group Danone where he handled multiple assignments overseas (Singapore, US, Malaysia, South Africa) before moving back to India in 2011. He was responsible for Finance, Supply Chain and Procurement functions in his last assignment in Danone prior to joining Abbott Healthcare in 2014. His key accomplishments with Danone include Reorganization of Business Model, Implementation of Supply Chain efficiency projects and transformation of Finance function into a key business partner in driving the business.

Sridhar is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Cost Accountant from Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Ashok Saini - Commercial Director - GenNext, Vaccine and Neurolife

Ashok has over 22 years of experience in Sales & Marketing in companies of diverse sizes and he has handled leadership roles across Sales, Marketing, Strategic planning and innovation.

Ashok started his journey with Abbott India Limited in May 2012 in the Neurolife business unit as Marketing Manager. Since then, Ashok has grown within the system by successfully managing various roles as Business Unit Head for the Vaccine Business and GenNext Business. Ashok has been instrumental in building the brand portfolio, realigning the specialty focus and setting up robust systems and processes that helped the Vaccine Business to gain significant market share. In GenNext BU, he transformed the business by bringing more focus on therapy-shaping solutions to build brands. In addition, these robust processes brought predictability and implemented initiatives to improve the business's productivity.

Prior to joining Abbott, Ashok has worked with Eisai Pharma, Torrent Pharma and Cadila Pharma. He has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics & Physics, a Master's Degree in Mathematics, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management specializing in Marketing and IT from ITS Ghaziabad.

Kunal Chowdhury - Commercial Director - GI Businesses

Kunal joined Abbott India limited in May, 1996 . He has transitioned through multiple roles in Sales and Marketing and advanced to leadership roles in both the functions. He has been instrumental in leading many business transformation in his previous assignments including launch of new business unit, brand transition to OTC, setting up of Task Force and Activation teams  as well as  scaling up of businesses.

Kunal holds a certification in Marketing from IIM Calcutta and have completed his Bachelor’s degree in Botany, Zoology and Chemistry  from University of North Bengal.

Sandeep Reddy - Commercial Director - Women’s Health, Metabolics & International Business

Sandeep has over 19 years of experience in Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Consumer Health, Dermatology, and Pharmaceuticals across various companies. He has handled leadership roles across sales, marketing, strategic planning, and innovation.

Sandeep started his journey in Abbott in May 2017 in the EPD Institutions business and moved into Abbott India Limited in January, 2019. He has been instrumental in setting up robust systems and processes in the Institution's business that helped EPD gain a significant share in key public and private institutions.

After taking over the newly formed Women's Health Business in January 2019, Sandeep played a critical role in building a go-to market plan, strategic new product pipeline and competitive and a robust operational excellence model that has helped Abbott maintain its strong leadership position in the Women's Health space.

Prior to joining Abbott, Sandeep worked with Galderma and Sanofi India Limited. He is a graduate of Pharmacy and has completed his certification in the Administrative Management from Harvard Business School.

Jejoe Karankumar - Director - Medical Affairs

Jejoe joined Abbott Healthcare Private Limited in March 2016 as Associate Director – Medical Affairs, Specialty Care Division. In this role, he contributed in identifying new molecules and LCM ideas from an I&D perspective. Proposing, reviewing and approving clinical studies to support therapies, presentations in SEC meets for approval of BE studies like Itraconazole, Clonazepam, Ivabradine and clinical studies (Phase 3: Ivabradine; Phase 4: Gluformini, Acitrom). Jejoe has been a key contributor in identifying 12 clinical studies, 8 consensus documents, 2 therapy-based patient profiles, 9 publications in medical journals including 4 poster/paper presentation in National scientific conferences. Subsequently, he got promoted in April 2021 as Director – Medical Affairs, Specialty Care Division.

Prior to joining Abbott, Jejoe was associated with Ranbaxy Daiichi Sankyo as their Medical Director.

Jyoti Saraph – Director - Finance

Jyoti has over 25 years of rich and diverse experience across industries in India and the USA in various finance and accounting functions. Jyoti joined Abbott through the Solvay acquisition and has worked across Abbott's Pharma, Nutrition and Corporate Financial Services verticals for the last 12 years.

Jyoti worked for telecom product startups in the USA before returning to India. She led the accounting function of Solvay Pharma India. She handled key responsibilities in merging two listed legal entities i.e., Solvay Pharma India Limited into the Company. Jyoti is known as a trusted and agile business partner. She led various margin improvement projects in Nutrition, improving the margin profile by more than 150%. She has driven strong collaboration with the business to achieve market-beating growth and gain market leadership in Gastro and Adult Nutrition portfolio.

Jyoti is a qualified Cost Accountant in India and a certified Public Accountant in the USA. She has also completed the Executive MBA program at International Management Institute, New Delhi.

Rajan Kalantre - Director - Business Human Resources

Rajan has 15 years of experience and is a trusted business partner to business leaders at Abbott. He is recognized for outstanding customer focus and exceptional partnership with leaders equipping them to achieve business goals.

Rajan joined Abbott post his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2006 and has done multiple roles in EPD in his formative years. He was instrumental in integrating Solvay Pharmaceutical with the Company and launching Project Everest in 2011.

Rajan has also worked with Abbott's Devices and Diagnostic businesses in India. He ably supported St. Jude Medical's integration with Abbott and the spin-off Abbott Medical Optics Business with Johnson & Johnson. He took up his current role of Associate Director BHR for Abbott Nutrition business and Corporate Functions of Abbott in India in August 2018. In this role, Rajan has done a stellar job of building talent processes across the Nutrition business.

Rajan holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, formerly Nagpur University.

Namita Shah – Associate Director - New Product Introductions and Therapy Area Strategy

Namita joined the Company in October 2021 as Associate Director - New Product Introductions and Therapy Area Strategy. She is a result oriented pharmaceutical professional with an enriching experience of over 25 years in Pharmaceutical and Healthcare business. After successfully heading marketing teams in various pharmaceutical companies, she has also taken up strategic marketing role. She is an adept at mentoring and driving a team to realize the objectives of a company. Proven ability in sales, marketing, portfolio management, strategizing, strategy implementation, business development, new introductions, market analysis and customer relationship management with a deep understanding of the pharma sector and excellent cross-functional, communication and interpersonal skills. Prior to joining Abbott, Namita was associated with Sun Pharma as GM Portfolio Management. She has also worked with Wockhardt; Alkem Laboratories; Indoco Remedies; Ipca Labs; Charak Pharma and Lupin Laboratories. She has completed her Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from Mumbai University and Diploma in Management Studies from NMIMS.

Richa Tripathi - Associate Director - Sales Force Effectiveness and Project Management Office

Richa has close to 12 years of experience as a strategy, growth, and business transformation professional. She is joining the Company from Accenture, where she has worked for 4+ years as a strategy consultant within the Pharma and FMCG space. Prior to that she spent close to 5 years with Cipla across 3 key roles - Marketing Strategy, M&A and GCEO and MD’s Office (Strategic projects).

Her core skill lies in evaluating business needs and subsequently designing and implementing sustainable solutions through cross-functional collaborations with internal and external stakeholders to drive growth. She has built a strong acumen in functional areas like portfolio strategy, business expansion, spend strategy, route-to-market, and market entry as well as M&A deals for business diversification and streamlining while leading diverse teams towards successful results across her projects.

Richa is an engineering graduate from VJTI with a Master’s degree in Management from ISB Hyderabad.

Sangeeta Shetty - Associate Director - Secretarial and Company Secretary

Sangeeta has around two decades of experience in Corporate Secretarial, Compliance, Regulatory and Investor Relations functions. She has in-depth knowledge of Company Law, SEBI Regulations, Stock Exchange Listing Compliances, Corporate and Securities Law, Stock Broking, Insurance, Stock Exchange Regulations, Contract Management and Corporate Compliances and Governance matters.

She has expertise in legal drafting and documentation for mergers and corporate restructuring, due diligence, policy making, stakeholder management and implementing best Corporate Governance practices.

Sangeeta was associated with Financial Services - Aditya Birla Group. She was the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance Company Limited (from January 2022 upto September 2023) and Aditya Birla Money Limited (August 2018 upto January 2022). She played a significant role in ensuring and monitoring compliances with the listing, insurance, stock broking, portfolio management and depository participant regulations.

She has been earlier associated with Edelweiss Financial Services, Angel One and Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India.

Sangeeta holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). She also holds certification by ICSI on Commercial Contract Management and Foreign Exchange Management.
