Thyronorm is a brand of thyroxine sodium and is available in three strengths which help in fine dosage adjustment and therefore offers both convenience and superior profile

Presentation and Composition :
Thyroxine sodium I.P. tablets, round, colour coded, debossed with potency 25 mcg, 50 mcg or 100 mcg, supplied in amber coloured bottles of 100 tablets.
Each uncoated tablet contains Thyroxine Sodium I.P., equivalent to anhydrous Thyroxine Sodium, 25 mcg or 50 mcg or 100 mcg, 125 mcg.

Indications :
Thyronorm is indicated as replacement or supplemental therapy in patients of any age or state (including pregnancy) with hypothyroidism of any etiology except transient hypothyroidism during the recovery phase of subacute thyroiditis. As a pituitary TSH suppressant in the treatment or prevention of various types of euthyroid goiters, including thyroid modules, subacute on chronic lymphocytic thy roiditis (Hashimoto's) multinodular goiter and in conjuction with surgery and radio- active idodine therapy in the management of thyrotropin-dependent well differentiated papillary or follicular carcinoma of the thyroid.
