Obimet

For management of Type 2 diabetes

Obimet is the first choice antidiabetic for obese diabetics. Obimet minimises the risk of hypoglycaemia.

Presentation and Composition :
Blister pack of 10 tablets.

Each uncoated tablet contains
Metformin hydrochloride IP ... 500 mg

Each SR (Sustained Release)tablet contains :
Metformin hydrochloride IP ... 500 mg and 1000 mg

Indications :
1. Type 2 diabetes when diet has failed and especially if the patient is overweight
2. Obimet can be given alone as initial therapy, or can be administered in combination with a sulphonylurea.
3. In Type 1 diabetes, Obimet may be given as an adjuvant with insulin to patients whose symptoms are poorly controlled.
